I need some help!

Hello,

I am from Canada. I am currently in Praha, and I don’t have any European maps for the GPS, which makes caching more difficult than usual. I brought with me from Canada a travel bug and a geocoin, and I want to put them somewhere in this beautiful city.

Could someone who speaks English help me place these trackables somewhere? I am in Praha 1. I can be reached at [email protected].

There are two caches providing enough space on slopes of the Petřín Hill:

  • Romeo a Julie / Romeo and Juliet by Pc-romeo a Kucinka /adopted by Zajíci [cache]GCTKFK[/cache]
  • Prague Panorama by lunchbox, adopted by ebik [cache]GC1E51[/cache] (this is the oldest cache in Prague but the overall impression spoil some homeless people residing below nearby rocks; for both mentioned caches start at tram stop Újezd, then uphill by foot or by the funicular to its middle stop).

Another great site suitable for ceocoins (maybe also a very small TB ) is Tancici Dum / Dancing House by Luckyn [cache]GC18YJ0[/cache] (one of the best views of the river with its bridges and Prague Castle in the background; tram stop Jiráskovo náměstí on the right bank of the Vltava River)

The same applies to RIVERSIDE by Dp.man [cache]GC19TTC[/cache] (tram stop Revoluční)

Usable for geocoins could perhaps be
Praha - Hlavni nadrazi / Prague - The Main Station by Solim [cache]GCP7YK[/cache] with great vista of the railway station (metro and tram Muzeum)

TB could be easily placed in DNF by Mel-Man [cache]GC166FN[/cache] which is located somewhat southeast of city centre (in this case DNF is an acronym of adjacent theatre and has nothing in common with the abbreviation widely used in our circles :); there are several tram stops nearby but I can’t remember all their names - Divadlo na Fidlovčce or Náměstí Bratří Synků I think…)

Thera are also two quite spacious caches in the Stromovka Park north of city centre:

  • Lazarus (Stromovka Sojourn 2) by linearB [cache]GCWEHK[/cache] (suitable also for larger TBs)
  • Blanka Construction panorama(ex Stromovka panor.) by PCromeo [cache]GCNDXP[/cache]

Kafkuv hrob / Kafka’s grave by Sodobar [cache]GC19HCD[/cache] could be also of interest for you and is able to accomodate small trackables. It’s a somewhat zig-zag but not long walk through the New Jewish Cemetery (several minutes ride from city centre by green A line of the metro, the cemetery entrance is just next to station Želivského).

If you want to see some nice caches of Prague, try

  • Pisecka brana/Pisek gate by cunakus [cache]GC1CA2Y[/cache] (close to metro station Hradčanská)
  • Rotunda sv. Krize Mensiho by termiter.cz [cache]GC1B418[/cache] (tram stop Národní divadlo)
  • Tak jde cas… by Luckyn [cache]GC1BAN2[/cache] (it’s a quite simple mystery, unfortunately almost unknown to foreign tourists - try it and you won’t regret)

Somewhat Prague-centred poll on most liked caches provide results and logs of Anketni - nejlepsi kesky by eMenthal [cache]GC18P96[/cache] (this cache itself is an ordinary micro, not especially worth visiting)

Hi,

If you want to drop some travel bugs or coins, try to find [cache]GCNEGK[/cache]. It is a regular size and the listing is available in English too.
I have already found this cache and guess it is a fine walk with nice final location!

This is excellent choice! Definitely in my best 3 in centre of Prague. Another interesting choice is
[cache]GCXJR2[/cache] and if you are brave enough, this is excellent as well: [cache]GC13QK0[/cache]

Who send nicekittie GPS map ???

Unfortunally, I haven´t got the maps of Prague.
When I am caching here, i just use the metod "walk for arrow":slight_smile:
Or I think yo can use www.mapy.cz or www.googlemaps.cz.
Actually, If you have no maps and no one is capable to send You this one the only way is to believe that the Arrow is infallible :wink:

Já nevím … jsem už dost starej "blbec" a anglinu moc neumím, ale přijde mi, že ten kanaďan chce pomoc pro uložení TB a GC co přivezl sebou. Tu pomoc potřebuje protože se nevyzná a nemá GPS s mapou. Proto uveřejnil svůj e-mail, … možná s představou, aby ho někdo doprovodil.:expressionless: . Zajímalo by mě jestli se mu někdo vůbec ozval, místo těch doporučení, které keše by měl v Praze vyhledat a navštívit. :expressionless:

Možná se to trochu zvrhlo, ale mail mu šel, a určitě ne jen jeden, tak vmyslím, že o něj bude příkladně geopostaráno :slight_smile:

Možná kdyby napsal, že je holka, tak by se těch průvodců po Praze našlo víc ;). Vycházím z toho nicku, který by mohl znamenat něco jako pěkná kočička.
