Hello,
I´m one of the organisation team (Marc aka Susanne&Marc).
I would like to explain some questions and the time table for the weekend 9th and 10th of June.
We start on 9th June at 09:00.
The main meeting point is “Zeche Hannover” in Bochum (Günnigfelder Straße 251, 44793 Bochum).
There you get the last starting points for the caches, which we publish for the Mega-Event.
This means, that we publish the cache listings about one week before, but the first stage from all caches
will NOT be in the listing. So no one can find the new cache before the eventday!
Because of the count of geocachers, we have 3 other small meeting points, where you will get only the
cache informations too, nothing else!
In the main Event-Area “Zeche Hannover” we have guidances through the old building. (this is free)
A highlight for kids is a special build mine called “Zeche Knirps”. This is open too and free.
In this “Zeche Knirps” children can learn, how the coalminers worked years before.
From about 10:00 to 18:00 you have the possibility to do some Geolympic Games, like
a) film can throwing
b) cache cointainer pilling up (you have 1 minute time)
c) so called: tripple fast caching (we measure your time)
=> Start line => first cachebox => opening/logging/closing => walk or run 100ft (about 160m)
=> second cachebox => opening/logging/closing => walk or run 100ft (about 160m) => third cachebox
=> opening/logging/closing => walk or run the start line back
d) …
For this games we will make an award ceremony at about 19:30. (Gold / Silver / Bronce)
Of course we will make a tombola for all regular teams (about 19:30)
At about 21:30 you have the chance to make some night caches.
For the day we are planning to publish more then 40 new caches.
On Sunday 10th you can make your breakfast between 07:30 and 09:30.
At 10:30 is the end of camping.
Then the cito event will start. This will published in the next days.
We clean up the area near “Zeche Hannover” in groups.
Everybody who collects garbage and signs the cito logbook can log this cito event.
If you have questions, feel free to contact us or post questions (please in english!).
Thanks for your attention and best regards
Marc (aka Susanne&Marc)
